Spiderette Solitaire

Spiderette Solitaire is a fast-paced one-deck card sorting game combining traditional Spider mechanics with a Klondike layout. Dealing 28 cards across a seven-column tableau in progressive stack sizes, players organize cards by suit in descending order. Using intuitive click-and-drag controls, the objective is to clear all cards by assembling four foundation piles of complete same-suit sequences from King to Ace.

Setup

  • Tableau: 7 columns of cards dealt progressively (1 card in the first column, 2 in the second, up to 7 in the seventh). Only the top card of each column is face-up.
  • Stockpile: The remaining 24 cards kept face-down to deal into the tableau.
  • Foundations: 4 slots where completed sequences of matching suits (King to Ace) are placed.
  • Deck used: One standard 52-card deck.

Rules

  1. Move face-up cards in descending order (e.g., placing any 6 on any 7) regardless of suit.
  2. Only sequences of cards that are of the same suit and in numerical descending order can be moved together as a group.
  3. Empty tableau columns can accept any single card or valid sequence.
  4. Deal a new row of cards (one onto each of the 7 columns) from the stockpile when no moves remain.
  5. Build complete 13-card sequences of matching suits (King down to Ace) to automatically clear them.

How to Play

  1. Scan the 7 columns for immediately available cards that can be stacked in descending order.
  2. Focus on stacking cards of the same suit to build mobile sequences and expose hidden cards.
  3. Empty columns quickly to create temporary holding spaces for out-of-suit blocking cards.
  4. Draw from the stockpile only when there are no valid or useful moves left on the tableau.
  5. Successfully transfer all 52 cards into four completed suit sequences to win.

Tips

  • With only one deck, empty columns are much easier to create but are highly vital; do not block them with mixed-suit sequences unless necessary.
  • Prioritize exposing face-down cards in the rightmost columns, as they contain the deepest progressive stacks.
  • Always check the stockpile cards carefully after dealing, as a new row can easily unlock previously blocked columns.
