Pyramid Solitaire

Pyramid Solitaire
Pyramid Solitaire is an engaging addition-based solitaire card game featuring a distinctive pyramid layout. Utilizing 28 cards arranged face-up in seven rows, players pair uncovered cards that total thirteen. Using click-to-match controls, the objective is to clear the entire pyramid by matching pairs or removing Kings.
Setup
- The Pyramid: 28 face-up cards dealt in a triangular shape of seven overlapping rows (from 1 card at the top to 7 cards at the base).
- Stockpile: Remaining 24 cards kept face-down in a draw pile.
- Waste pile: A discard pile where drawn cards are placed if they cannot be paired.
Controls
- Select card: Click or tap any fully uncovered card to select it.
- Pair cards: Click two cards whose values add up to exactly 13 to remove them.
- Draw card: Click the Stockpile to flip a new card onto the Waste pile.
- Mobile: Direct touch controls for quick matching and drawing.
Rules
- Only fully uncovered cards (those with no overlapping cards in the row below) are active and eligible for play.
- Match pairs of active cards that equal exactly 13 in total value:
- Aces = 1, Jacks = 11, Queens = 12, Number cards = face value.
- Kings = 13 (can be clicked and removed individually without a partner).
- Pair active cards within the pyramid, or match a pyramid card with the top card of the Stock/Waste pile.
- Draw one card at a time from the Stockpile to search for matching partners.
- The match is successfully won when all 28 cards in the pyramid are cleared.
Tips
- Always prioritize removing cards from the pyramid first rather than using stockpile cards, as this exposes deeper levels.
- Keep track of which cards have been discarded to predict which numbers are still available for active pairs.
- Plan your Kings removals carefully; removing a King immediately exposes the two cards directly above it.
