Scorpion Solitaire

Scorpion Solitaire
Scorpion Solitaire is a challenging patience card game combining Spider Solitaire's assembly rules with Yukon Solitaire's movement freedom. Utilizing a seven-column tableau, players build down by suit from King to Ace. Using drag-and-drop controls, the objective is to assemble four full suits and clear the board.
Setup
- Tableau: 49 cards dealt into 7 columns of 7 cards each.
- The first 4 columns have 3 face-down cards and 4 face-up cards.
- The last 3 columns have all 7 cards face-up.
- Reserve: 3 remaining cards kept face-down in a single reserve pile.
- Goal: Build four columns of completed suit sequences in descending order from King down to Ace.
Controls
- Move card: Click and drag any face-up card to another tableau column.
- Deal reserve: Click the reserve pile to deal the remaining 3 cards onto the first 3 columns.
- Mobile: Tap and drag cards directly with clean, smooth touch controls.
Rules
- Tableau columns are built down by suit (e.g., place a Jack of Diamonds on a Queen of Diamonds).
- You can move any face-up card, along with all cards resting on top of it, as a single unit.
- The cards residing above the moved card do not need to be in any specific suit or numerical sequence.
- Empty columns can only be filled by a King (or a sequence starting with a King).
- When a face-down card is fully exposed, click it to flip it face-up.
- Deal your 3 reserve cards only when no other legal moves are available on the board.
Tips
- Focus on exposing and flipping the face-down cards in the first four columns as your highest priority.
- Avoid emptying tableau columns unless you have a King ready to place, as empty spots are highly valuable maneuvers.
- Plan several moves ahead; ensure your moves do not isolate cards of the same suit that you need to merge later.
