Spider 3x Solitaire

Spider 3x Solitaire
Spider 3x Solitaire is a highly complex three-deck card sorting game expanding on classic Spider Solitaire rules. Utilizing a twelve-column tableau of 156 cards, solvers assemble cards in descending order regardless of suit. Using click-and-drag mouse controls, the ultimate objective is to clear all cards from the play area by building twelve full sequences from King down to Ace of matching suits.
Setup
- Tableau: 12 columns of cards dealt on the play area, with the top card of each column face-up.
- Stockpile: The remaining cards kept face-down in a draw pile.
- Foundations: Piles where completed sequences are automatically placed.
- Decks used: Three standard 52-card decks (156 cards total).
Rules
- Move face-up cards between columns in descending order (e.g., placing any 9 on any 10, regardless of suit).
- Only sequences of cards that are of the same suit and in descending order can be moved together as a single unit.
- Empty tableau columns can accept any single card or valid same-suit sequence.
- Deal a new row of 12 cards from the stockpile when no moves remain. All empty columns must be filled before drawing.
- Form a complete sequence of 13 cards of the matching suit in descending order (King to Ace) to remove it to the foundation.
How to Play
- Scan the 12 columns for simple moves to stack cards in descending order.
- Prioritize making moves within the same suit to keep sequences mobile and uncover face-down cards.
- Empty columns strategically to park blocking cards and break up multi-suit sequences.
- Draw a new row from the stockpile only when no useful moves are left in the tableau.
- Successfully clear the tableau by forming all 12 complete suit sequences.
Tips
- Prioritize empty columns early; having at least one free column is critical to shifting mixed-suit stacks.
- Avoid building mixed-suit columns unless necessary, as they block movement and reduce your options.
- Focus on uncovering deep face-down piles first to expand your available moves.
