Merge Block

Merge Block
Merge Block is a strategic number merging puzzle game inspired by classic 2048 mechanics. Utilizing a falling grid system, players drop numbered blocks to combine identical adjacent numbers. Using click-to-drop controls, the ultimate objective is to create higher numbers and clear the board.
Setup
- Grid: A vertical grid board where blocks are dropped from the top.
- Goal: Combine adjacent blocks with identical numbers to merge them and reach higher numbers (e.g., 2, 4, 8, 16... up to 2048 or higher).
Controls
- Aim & Drop: Move your mouse cursor left or right to align columns, and click to drop the active block.
- Mobile: Tap or drag your finger along the screen to align, then release to drop.
Rules
- An active numbered block appears at the top of the grid, showing its number (e.g., 2, 4, 8).
- Drop the block into one of the vertical columns of the grid.
- When the block lands adjacent (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) to a block with the same number, they merge into a single block of double value (e.g., 4 + 4 = 8).
- Merges can trigger chain reactions; if the newly created block lands next to its matching number, they merge automatically.
- The game ends when any column is filled to the top, leaving no space for new blocks.
Tips
- Always place your highest-numbered blocks at the bottom of the grid to establish a stable foundation for combos.
- Plan your drops to trigger cascade reactions, which merge multiple blocks in a single turn and clear space.
- Avoid placing small numbers directly on top of large numbers, as they can block and isolate your high-value tiles.
