Block Breaker
Block Breaker is a classic arcade brick-busting game inspired by Atari's historic 1976 title, Breakout. Using mouse slides or arrow keys, players slide a horizontal paddle to bounce a ball upward. The objective is to destroy all colored brick layers without letting the ball hit the bottom. The game combines simple controls with challenging gameplay that tests reflexes and precision timing.
Controls
- Arrow Keys: Move paddle left and right
- Mouse: Move cursor to control paddle position
- Spacebar: Launch the ball to start each round
- Touch/Swipe: Mobile devices support touch controls
How to Play
- Position your paddle using arrow keys or mouse movement
- Press spacebar or click to launch the ball upward
- Move your paddle to bounce the ball toward the brick formations
- Hit bricks to destroy them and clear each row
- Keep the ball from falling past your paddle to stay alive
- Clear all bricks to complete the level
Tips
Use reflection angles: Hit the ball with different paddle sections to control bounce direction. Paddle edges create sharper angles for reaching corner bricks.
Create side channels: Target bricks along the screen edges first. Once the ball passes through these openings, it bounces rapidly between walls and remaining bricks.
Prepare for acceleration: Ball speed increases as you progress through levels or eliminate bricks. Stay alert and keep your paddle centered for maximum reaction range.
