Retro Bowl
Retro Bowl is a popular American football simulation game combining team management with retro arcade-style gameplay. Controlling the offense, players draft stars, manage roster salary caps, and guide key plays on the field. Using click-and-drag controls, the objective is to score touchdowns and win the Retro Bowl.
Controls
- Throw pass: Click and drag backward from the quarterback to aim and set power; release your click to throw.
- Steer runner: Move your mouse up or down (or swipe up/down on mobile) to dodge tackles after handoff or catch.
- Dive forward: Press the Spacebar (or swipe forward on mobile) to dive for extra yards.
- Kicking: Click to set the power meter, then click again when the aiming arrow is aligned between the goalposts.
How to Play
- Take control of the team's offense to pass, run, and score points over 4 quarters.
- Aim passes slightly in front of your wide receivers ("leading them") to help them catch and run safely.
- Manage your team's roster, salary caps, and staff between games using earned Coaching Credits (CC).
- Train players and upgrade facilities to prevent injuries and boost team stats.
- Guide your franchise through regular seasons and playoffs to win the ultimate championship trophy.

- Upgrade your training and rehab facilities early in your career to accelerate player experience gains and minimize injuries.
- Go for 2-point conversions instead of 1-point kicks; they are highly successful and yield better scoring margins over time.
- Keep an eye on player morale and salary caps; trading expensive stars before they demand excessive pay is key to maintaining a winning roster.
