Buscaminas

Buscaminas
Buscaminas is the popular Spanish edition of Minesweeper, a classic logical puzzle game. Utilizing a grid of hidden cells, players use mathematical deduction to avoid detonating deadly hidden mines ("minas"). Using click-to-reveal controls, the objective is to discover all safe tiles on the board.
Setup
- Grid: A board of face-down square cells containing a pre-set number of hidden mines.
- Goal: Uncover all squares on the board that do not contain a mine without detonating any of them.
Controls
- Reveal square: Left-click on any face-down cell.
- Flag mine (Bandera): Right-click on a cell to place a protective flag ("bandera") over suspected mines.
- Chord click: Click on an open number that already has all surrounding mines flagged to instantly reveal remaining adjacent squares.
- Mobile: Tap cells directly to reveal them; tap and hold to place a flag.
Rules
- The first click on the grid is always guaranteed to be safe and will never reveal a mine.
- Clicking a cell reveals either a blank space, a number, or a hidden mine.
- Numbers indicate how many mines are located in the eight adjacent cells surrounding that number.
- Deduce where mines are located and flag them to prevent accidental clicking.
- The match is won when all non-mine cells are uncovered. The game ends in defeat if a mine is clicked.
Tips
- Look for obvious patterns first, such as a "1" corner tile that only touches one unopened square; flag it immediately.
- Use the chording control (clicking numbers) to clear open spaces much faster than clicking individual cells.
- Never guess unless absolutely necessary; always use logical deduction to guarantee safe moves.
