8 Ball Pool

8 Ball Pool
8 Ball Pool is a billiards simulation developed by Miniclip where you pocket either solids (1–7) or stripes (9–15), then sink the 8-ball last to win. Aim with your mouse, drag backward to set shot power, and apply topspin or backspin to control cue ball position. The break shot determines which group you play — first ball pocketed decides your assignment.
Controls
- Aim: Move your mouse to rotate the cue stick
- Set power: Hold left mouse button and drag backward — longer pull = stronger shot
- Shoot: Release the mouse button
- Spin: Click the cue ball icon to apply topspin, backspin, or sidespin
How to Play
- The break shot scatters the rack — whichever group (solids 1–7 or stripes 9–15) you pocket first becomes yours.
- Take turns with your opponent. Pocket all balls in your assigned group.
- Once your group is cleared, legally pocket the 8-ball to win.
- Potting the 8-ball early or scratching on the 8-ball shot loses the game.
Tips
- Plan 2–3 shots ahead — position the cue ball for your next target, not just the current one.
- Use backspin to pull the cue ball back after contact, preventing it from following into a pocket (scratch).
- If no clear shot exists, play a safety — leave the cue ball where your opponent has no easy pocket.
